Among the friends joining Crawford here are Bobby Jones on the energetic "How I Got Over" and Melvin Williams on one of the collection's few ballads, "I'm Willing to Wait." Crawford's brand of gospel is rooted in tradition, and her lush backing choir keeps even more contemporary compositions like "I'm Willing to Wait" firmly rooted in a traditional gospel sound. Crawford delivers some truly fine performances here, and there's no doubt that she's captured the energy of that evening for posterity.
