Born on July 13, 1956, in Valley Stream, NY, Billy Falcon grew up in Rosedale, NY. Between 1978 and 1988, Falcon released a handful of albums on several different labels, including 1979's Improper Attire on United Artists and 1985's Billy and Myla on Columbia. Jon Bon Jovi, who had been a fan and remembered Falcon as a club draw in New Jersey, contacted Falcon about working together. Falcon signed a record deal with Mercury and Jon Bon Jovi helped produce the album Pretty Blue World, released in 1991.Paper Ship was Billy's second release on Mercury Records. Released in Feb, 1994, it features Wonder Years, which captures the loss of childhood innocence at a much earlier age than seems appropriate; the sweet simplicity of Lovebirds, and the delightful Mama s Face which recounts the birth of Billy's only child, daughter Rose.
