Chubby Checker - Twistin Dance Party Import (AUDIO CD 2000)

Thanks to ABCKO (the label that owns the right to the Cameo Parkway catalog) tying up the rights to Chubby Checker's original recordings like "The Twist" and "Let's Twist Again," Checker was forced to re-record his songs so they could be out on the market making him some money. Therefore there are many, many Chubby Checker compilations like this one, Twistin' Dance Party, which have nice-looking covers, all the hits, and a budget price. All they are lacking is the original recordings. Of course, if you can make do with fairly well-done and authentic new versions of the hits (as these are) then this might be a good purchase. Otherwise hold out for the real deal.
