nfluenced by Ministry, Contagion's Contaminant PCB is an industrial/alternative rock release for those who aren't big supporters of that type of music. Although dissonant and abrasive, cuts like "Aggress!," "Ingest," and "Turn of the Screw" are nowhere near as extreme as Throbbing Gristle or Skinny Puppy. The dark, morbid, and angst-ridden material, which draws on heavy metal as well as goth, does a lot more with melody and harmony than one would expect from an industrial-oriented act. Samples are used extensively, but Contagion isn't content to simply offer collages of sound bites and high-tech distortion. The relatively accessible CD is about songs , as well as tracks and technology.
