One of a handful of records released on late-1970s Los Angeles imprint HDM Records, Eddie Horan's 1978 album Love The Way You Love Me is a classic example of what happens when soul meets disco. The title track, which reached #91 on the R&B charts in 1978, is warm and breezy like the first day of spring soft keys and flutes build effortlessly into Horan's chorus, and the rest of the album follows suit. Between uptempo disco cuts like "Turn My World Back Around" or "Can't Do Without You" and smooth ballads such as "Concert By The Sea," soul listeners of all kind will find something to enjoy about this late disco-era hidden gem.
