A label shakeup at Sony prevented this 2002 album—Joey’s major-label debut—from seeing the light of day. Recorded with Dixie Chicks/Martina McBride producer Paul Worley and Southern-rock singer-songwriter Billy Crain, this album was initially titled "Strong Enough to Cry" and was set to be released under Joey’s maiden name Joey Martin. But the album was shelved, Joey met Rory Feek and the rest is history. This long-awaited release of what should have been Joey Feek’s breakthrough (now titled "If Not for You") serves as a moving bookend in the wake of her tragic 2016 passing. The ZinePak comes with a 48-page booklet full of photos, notes and memories collected by her family. Both versions include the title song, "Southern Girl," "Red," "Strong Enough to Cry," "That’s Important to Me" and more long-lost performances by a young rising star who left us way too soon.
