Karnivool - Asymmetry (Audio CD / DVD - 8/6/2013)

Karnivool has continued to evolve since their debut album, moving further and further down the path to more complex progressive rock with each subsequent release. On the surface, that means fewer catchy choruses are here to serve as the anchors for more traditionally-structured 4-5 minute songs. The album does wander a bit, and it does have a few ambient tracks (which are far more listenable than many of Tool's ever were). As some reviews reflect, fans who preferred the more structured alt-rock side of Karnivool may be put off by Asymmetry.
