Music listeners who followed the careers of The Five Stairsteps will definitely appreciate finally being able to listen on CD to Keni Burke's first solo effort from the period when the four brothers signed with George Harrison's Dark Horse Records label after their association with Buddah Records where they scored their biggest hits came to a conclusion. Amazon recently announced the forthcoming reissue of Keni's first solo effort along with The Stairsteps landmark release also on the Dark Horse label from 1976 - "2nd Resurrection" - when they were in one of their most creative periods and the music scene was less tightly formatted and more receptive to music that wasn't so formulated. I was personally active in the industry at that time and had the privilege of hearing some of the tracks from this release before it hit the streets.
