Kirk Ross fits right in there in the David Gray, Greg Laswell, Ed Harcourt universe with songs that feel real & mean something. I highly recommend this collection as one of the indie gems of 2012. My personal favorite is The Bull and the Fish, a haunting woman/man "conversation" in the vein of the classic Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush collaboration "Don't Give Up". Haley Glennie-Smith is angelic in this duet. Other tracks I keep playing over and over are "Spirit", "It Takes Me Away", "Father", and the title track "Break My Silence".
