Brazil is a musical monster, that we know. Brazil produces excellent singers and instrumentalists like other countries produce oil or wheat. And among those excellent singers one unequivocal voice, the one that is identified instantly in the middle of thousands, brings in itself all the rhythm, melody, color and flavor of musica brasileira.
I'm talking about Leny Andrade, that phenomenom of the pneumatic voice, that sorceress of improvisation, who in this cd offers a whole gamut of beautiful songs supported by the masterly Cesar Camargo. What an aural pleasure is the combination of these two exceptional musicians. My preferred ones? Hmm, that's hard to pinpoint, but if forced to do so, I'll bet on Carinhoso first of all, The Island, and Voce Vai Ver.
