The Praise & Worship Experience cannot be pigeonholed to a particular style or sensibility. It encompasses everything from joyous, Latin-infused praise (“Glory to God”) to airy, Andraé Crouch-styled melodies (“Eyes on You”) to choral Sunday-morning fare (the first single “Draw Me Close/Thy Will Be Done”). This latter track, featuring Winans as the lead soloist, is a good primer for the rest of the disc. In it, Winans takes the prayerful lines of the church staple "Draw Me Close," and then adds verses of his own, turning it into a devotional piece that other praise ministers could very well incorporate into their own congregational repertoires.
