Not Blood Paint is a four-piece rock band from Bushwick, Brooklyn formed in 2008 by guitarists George Frye and Joe Stratton, bassist Mark Jaynes and drummer Seth Miller. The band’s bold and curious style of rock and roll incorporates wild, outsized guitar riffs, deep and shifting grooves, memorable melodies as well as lush four-part harmonies and vocal interplay. Aesthetically, the band spans many genres and styles, landing somewhere between post-punk and art-rock, always staying distinctly Not Blood Paint. Their sound has drawn comparisons to Gang of Four, Queen, Peter Gabriel-era Genesis and modern acts Dirty Projectors, Muse and The Mars Volta.
