Paddy McAloon is back. Like Prefab Sprout's last release - 2009's Let's Change the World with Music - Crimson/Red is written and performed entirely by Paddy (sorry, no Wendy this time around). In fact, the overall sound and feel of this album is very similar to that of Let's Change the World with Music, although the keyboards that dominated LCTWWM have been replaced with acoustic and electric guitars, and the keyboards take a supporting role here.
