Rogue Wave has a reputation for crafting classic, inward-looking Pop songs highlighted with psychedelic guitars, pastoral sound effects and intricate rhythms. On tunes from Permalight, however, Rogue Wave steps away from expectations with synthesizers that simultaneously sound brittle and blissful.
