2013 release from the Chicago trio. Soft Will is their follow-up to their 2011 album Dye It Black. The album was recorded with producer Chris Coady, who also worked on Dye It Blonde (as well as albums by Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and TV On The Radio), at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas. Soft Will is the third about from Chicago indie rockers Smith Westerns, following 2011's Dye It Blonde. Produced once again by Chris Coady, who has also worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Beach House, the Smith Westerns' sound has matured as their catchy hooks and guitar lines are applied to cleverly structured songs, including anthemic album closer "Varsity.,"
