After starting in the basement of his childhood home, Jordan Witzigreuter (a.k.a. The Ready Set) self-released a record that caught the ear of Fall Out Boy s Pete Wentz, who immediately signed him to his label in 2009. Since then, the band has released two additional full-length albums, four EPs, and six singles. The last album, I m Alive, I m Dreaming, hit No. 3 on Billboard s Heatseekers chart, thanks to the platinum-selling success of the LP s first single, Love Like Woe. As the band readied its new album, The Bad & The Better, produced by Ian Kirkpatrick (Neon Trees, Young the Giant, Breathe Carolina), Give Me Your Hand was released as a set-up track. The track already has over 2 million video views and has sold over 200,000 downloads. From the first guitar strums of The Bad & The Better s opening song, Higher, which is also the first radio single, it s almost impossible not to smile and dance along with Witzigreuter s signature rapid-fire verses and synth-fueled choruses over the album s 11 songs.
