Wiretree began as the solo recording project of singer-songwriter Kevin Peroni. After releasing the LP "Bouldin" in 2007, Peroni recruited other band members solidify the project. The group released their sophomore effort "Luck" in 2009, finding it's way on various year-end best of lists (Blurt, Absolute Powerpop) while being labeled Blurt Magazine's "Best Kept Secret." In 2010 the band landed an official SXSW showcase in Austin. KLRU featured the band on Austin City Limit's "Satellite Sets" in early 2011. Wiretree supported their 2011 release "Make Up" with a European tour including the Loop Festival in Granada, Spain. Austin Monthly and Texas Music Matters both labeled the band as “Artist to Watch” for 2012. In 2013 The band was invited to play one of the largest music festivals in China,The Strawberry Music Festival. The band will play dates in both Beijing and Shanghai in the Spring, along with acts such as Deerhoof and Travis. The new full-length album, "Get Up" is scheduled for release this Summer.
