Although Little Red Book made little racket with the public in the States, Benny and Big John were sensations on an ambitious tour that took Buck Ram's entire roster halfway around the world, where the troupe was showcased on Italy's First American Festival of the Arts. It must have been a thrilling sight - Benny in his trademark striped jacket with his name boldly emblazoned across his acoustic guitar, bolstered by Big John's scorching electric leads. "We were possibly the very first rockabilly act that toured Europe, at least that's what we were told," Benny said in Kicks. "The response was wild! We were doing a lot of one-nighters all over, in Italy especially, and France, Germany, Yugoslavia, North Africa and England, as well as doing TV shows, we did our own songs and stuff like Baby Let's Play House. We encored time and time again. In fact, I think it was as wild, or wilder, than it was over here! One time in Tresti, Italy, someone pulled me off the stage and I ended up in the crowd! It took six policemen to break this up and I just went flying through the air back up on stage with my coat torn off!" ~ Billy Miller
