New York's Tony Aiken and Future 2000 was a musical group whose funky brand of R&B-meets-dance featured a distinct sound reminiscent of a combination of Carribbean music and Afrobeat, they were underground darlings for much of the mid-70s. Unity Sing It Shout It features hard-hitting funk tracks like "Better Days", and soulful cuts like "Time Tunnel", with ear catching bass-lines and keyboards. The CD has two extra tracks the vinyl doesn't have, worth it, great jamming, excellent horns, some down and dirty funk, in fact this album seems to be exactly at the head waters where funk married disco before the cheese.
